Bacon Quiche

Cheese, Bacon and Onions make this quiche flavorful.

    Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9″ Pie Shell
  • 12 strips Bacon, cooked & diced
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Cup shredded Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup onions, chopped
  • 2 Cups Whipping Cream
  • 3/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • Pepper to taste
    Directions

  1. Line unpricked pastry shell with double thick foil. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes, remove foil and bake 5 minutes longer. Reduce oven heat to 425 degrees.
  2. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion into pie crust. Beat eggs, cream, salt, sugar, cayenne and pepper. Pour into pie crust.
  3. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake for 30 minutes longer.

Notes
This is a great dish to make the day before. Pop it into the oven and heat it up the morning you serve it.
