Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Cream Cheese Pound Cake
Make this for your new neighbors moving across the street! They will love it!
Ingredients
- Cake:
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- 3 sticks of Butter- unsalted and softened
- 6 large Eggs
- 3 Cups Sugar
- 3 Cups sifted Cake Flour
- 1.5 tsp. Vanilla
- Frosting:
- 1 box Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Crisco
- 1 Egg White
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. Flour
- 1 Tbsp. Water
Directions
- Mix cream cheese and butter well.
- Beat 6 eggs, add to mixer…and beat.
- Add sugar and vanilla.
- Slowly add sifted flour.
- Pour into a greased and floured bunt pan.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes at 300 degrees. (Until knife comes out clean) Should be golden brown on top! Let stand for 5 minutes after cooking before flipping out of pan.
- Frosting:
- Mix all ingredients, pour over cake after it has cooled.
Notes
High Alltitude: Add an extra egg our use Jumbo eggs. And Bake at 320 degrees for 1 hour 5 minutes.
