Cucumber & Onion Salad

Super easy side for summer- great with BBQ or sandwiches.

    Ingredients

  • 2/3 Cup Water
  • 1/3 Cup Vinegar
  • 1/4 Cup Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cucumber, sliced thin
  • 1 yellow/white Onion, sliced into thin rings
  • Salt
  • Pepper
    Directions

  1. Mix all in a glass dish.
  2. Cover and let chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  3. Enjoy

Notes
To make this German- add Dill, about a tsp. or more if you are a dill fan. I wouldn’t use a red onion because it “bleeds” and makes the whole dish pink.
