Frog Eye Salad
Try this salad for your next picnic or family gathering. The kids will LOVE it!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 Egg, beaten
- 1 cup Acini Di Pepe Pasta (small granule-sized pasta found in the pasta section of your grocery store)
- 1-20 oz can Chunk Pineapple
- 1-20 oz can Crushed Pineapple
- 1-8oz Whipped Topping
- 1 Tbsp. Flour
- 2/3 cup Pineapple Juice
- 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
- 2-11 oz cans mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Directions
- Mix sugar, flour, salt, pineapple juice and egg in saucepan and cook over medium heat; stirring constantly until thick. Add lemon juice, set aside and cool.
- Cook pasta and combine with mixture. Cover and chill until cool.
- Combine remaining ingredients and chill 1 more hour before serving.
