Green Bean Casserole

Green Bean Casserole
A tasty traditional recipe with a few additions to change it up a little!
Ingredients
- 3 cups Green beans, thawed and drained
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
- 1/2 cup liquid from drained green beans
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Bacon, Cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs tossed with 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/4 cup French Onions
Directions
- Cook beans in microwave or stove top until hot; drain and reserve 1/2 cup of cooking liquid.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan on medium heat; blend in flour. Add milk slowly and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add cheese, mustard, and reserved cooking liquid. Stir until cheese melts.
- Add salt and pepper and bacon crumbs.
- Place alternating layers of green beans and sauce in a greased casserole dish, then top with buttered crumbs and french onions.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

This was super good. I like it better than the recipe with the cream of mushroom.
I used a bag of the already cooked steak and this was so quick and wonderful. I added tomatoes and onions to the salad, tossed in the steak and wrapped it up. Maybe 2 minutes.
