Gwen’s Chili
Quick and Easy
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. Ground Beef
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 1 Tsp. Salt
- 1 Tsp. Pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Chili Powder
- 2 Cans Stewed Tomatoes, chopped with green chilies
- 1 Can Tomato Sauce
- 1 Can Chili Beans
- 1 Can Dark Red Kidney Beans, drained
- 1 Can Pinto Beans, drained
- 2 Cups Water
Directions
- Brown ground beef and chopped onion in skillet. Add seasonings.
- In large saucepan; add all can ingredients. Add ground beef mixture. Add water. Stir.
- Simmer for 30 minutes to an hour.
- Add additional chili powder if needed. I like a lot so I usually put 2 more teaspoons in before I am finished!
Notes
Serve with cheese and crackers. We like to have smothered burritos the next day!
You can simmer in a crockpot all day too on low heat! And freezes perfectly!
Serves 8-10
