Homemade Egg Noodles

Use these noodles with our German Chicken and Noodles recipe.

    Ingredients
  • 6 Egg Yolks
  • 6-7 cups of Flour (enough to make a stiff dough)
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • Heavy Cream (enough to soften the dough)
    Directions
  1. Beat the eggs and gradually add the flour and salt.
  2. As the dough gets stiff, add a little cream. Keep working equal parts of the mixture until you get a nice, pliable dough.
  3. Take a fist-full of the dough and roll through the noodle press on the widest setting.
  4. Roll again through the noodle press on the next lowest setting, until you have about a 3-foot long noodle resembling a lasagna noodle.
  5. Then, run through the fine noodle cutting setting.
  6. Repeat with remaining dough, until all the noodles are cut.

Makes approx. 1 lb. egg noodles
