Homemade Egg Noodles
Use these noodles with our German Chicken and Noodles recipe.
Ingredients
- 6 Egg Yolks
- 6-7 cups of Flour (enough to make a stiff dough)
- 2 tsp. Salt
- Heavy Cream (enough to soften the dough)
Directions
- Beat the eggs and gradually add the flour and salt.
- As the dough gets stiff, add a little cream. Keep working equal parts of the mixture until you get a nice, pliable dough.
- Take a fist-full of the dough and roll through the noodle press on the widest setting.
- Roll again through the noodle press on the next lowest setting, until you have about a 3-foot long noodle resembling a lasagna noodle.
- Then, run through the fine noodle cutting setting.
- Repeat with remaining dough, until all the noodles are cut.

Makes approx. 1 lb. egg noodles
