Pumpkin Bread

Don’t wait until autumn to try this sweet bread. It’s delicious!

    Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 Cups white Sugar
  • 1 Cup Canola Oil
  • 4 Eggs, beaten
  • 2 Cups solid pack Pumpkin Puree
  • 2/3 Cup Water
    Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease two loaf pans.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. In a large bowl with an electric mixer, blend sugar, oil, and eggs. Stir in pumpkin. Slowly blend the flour mixture in to the pumpkin mixture. While blending the mixture add water incrementally.
  4. Pour the batter into the two prepared loaf pans.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 90 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pans.

Notes
Makes Two 9-by-5 inch loaf pans

  1. I made this last night and it’s so good. What I like about it is that it makes large loaves- like a big loaf of bread.
