White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 Cup packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 1/4 Cups Flour
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 3.5oz. jar Macadamia Nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Shortening
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp. Baking Soda
- 6 oz. White Chocolate Chips
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla, and egg in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Stir in flour, baking soda and salt, (dough will be stiff).
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop dough by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown.
- Cool 1-2 minutes; remove from sheet to wire cooling rack.
Notes
Always good with a cup of hot tea.
Makes about 2 dozen
