White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

    Ingredients

  • 1 Cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 1/4 Cups Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1 3.5oz. jar Macadamia Nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Shortening
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 6 oz. White Chocolate Chips
    Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla, and egg in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt, (dough will be stiff).
  4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown.
  7. Cool 1-2 minutes; remove from sheet to wire cooling rack.

Notes
Always good with a cup of hot tea.
Makes about 2 dozen
