Fried Ripe Plantains

    Ingredients

  • 4 very ripe plantains (will look like rotten bananas) or as many as you desire.
  • vegetable oil
    Directions

  1. Peel and cut plantains into 3/4″ diagonal pieces.
  2. Cover bottom of skillet with approximately 1/4 cup vegetable oil.
  3. Brown plantains over medium high heat for 2 minutes on each side or until light brown.
  4. Place on paper towel to drain excess oil.

Notes
The riper the plantain is, the sweeter the taste will be.
Do not over cook, the plantains will taste scorched.
