Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and Cheese with Southern flare.

    Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 8 oz. macaroni noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 3 cups mild cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
    Directions

  1. Place butter on the bottom of crock pot.
  2. Cook noodles, drain, and pour over stick of butter.
  3. Allow butter to melt under warm noodles; stirring occasionally to coat.
  4. Spread noodles out over the bottom and top with cheese.
  5. Mix eggs, milks, salt and pepper.
  6. Pour mixture over the noodles and cheese.
  7. Cook on low for 3 hours.

Notes
I like to add a little more cheese. Just make sure you add enough milk to have mixture rise just to the top of the cheese. I also like to use Adobo seasoning to add more flavor. This recipe is a hit at any potluck, I get requests for it all the time!

  1. This was really good and easy. I added mustard powder, cumin and some cayenne to flavor it up!
