Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup Butter
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
Directions
- Cream Butter and Sugar.
- Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla; mix well.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
- Pour into greased tube pan (pound cake pan or angelfood cake pan).
- Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Cool, remove from pan.

This is really good by itself. I considered how good it would taste with a cinnamon and sugar crumble topping though or a cinnamon swirl in the cake mixing. Any suggestions on how to make that addition for the times I want to spice it up?
Ohhhhh, maybe try topping with peaches, whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon!
Here’s a simple topping that can be added to pies, cakes, streusels, etc. Adding cinnamon would be a nice touch!
